Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at Washington Nutrition & Counseling Group. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle billing process, working our A/R outstanding accounts, and ensuring accurate submission of claims to insurance companies. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our mission to provide high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and timely to insurance providers.
- Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing.
- Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies related to billing or coding.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing or a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and billing processes.
- Familiarity with Advanced MD/EMR software preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies.
