The Washington Odd Fellows Home is looking for an experienced driver, with a CDL and a passenger endorsement . Do you want to use your time improving the lives of others. Providing for the transportation needs or our residents and future residents is a vital role at Washington Odd Fellows Home. Adding to the activities of daily living available and ensuring timely arrivals and pickups from medical appointments. Shopping, lunches, and other activities help our resident's live life to the fullest and drivers help make it happen.
Base hourly wage is $19.00 -$22.00 Depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Purpose
Driver will operate transportation equipment, equipped to provide nonemergency transport of mobility- impaired individuals by accommodating wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers and offering safe custom transportation to medical appointments and treatments, for community events and Admissions and discharges from the Home.
Required Qualifications
Must have a CDL and Good driving record (for insurance purposes).
3 Years experience driving passenger vehicles.
Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
Able to be CPR and First Aid Certified or already certified.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Driver will assist with day-to-day transportation activities.
The Driver will when called upon to provide medical transportation for residents to and from local health care providers.
The Drive will provide transportation for individuals arriving as new residents from health care providers.
The Driver will facilitate a fun engaged experience for residents while in transport from one location to another.
The Driver will ensure the safety of all residents and other drivers while providing transportation to our residents.
Additional Assigned Tasks
Treats all residents with dignity and respect. Promotes and protects all residents’ rights.
Establishes a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures. Complies with standards of business conduct, and state / federal regulations and guidelines.
Follows appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect residents and themselves.
Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
Reports noncompliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in confidentiality to appropriate personnel. Reports any retaliation or discrimination to HR or compliance officer.
Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to supervisor / Administrator / Abuse Coordinator. Protects residents from abuse and cooperates with all investigations.
Reports any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and / or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy.
Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings. Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facility’s emergency plan.
Reports work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor.
Follows established infection control policies and procedures.
When driving duties are not required, assist with activities or other duties as assigned.
As a condition of employment, completes all assigned training and skills competency.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position.
May be subject to falls, burns from equipment, and / or odors throughout the day; encounter reactions from dust, tobacco smoke, disinfectants, and other air contaminants.
Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases and / or conditions which include AIDS, Coronavirus, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis.
May be subject to hostile or emotional residents, family members, visitors or personnel.
