Data Solutions Architect
The Data Solutions Architect is instrumental in designing and implementing comprehensive data management systems and providing guidance and insights into organizational operations and industry directions while considering the company's specific data needs and create a scalable, efficient, and secure data warehouse architecture. Striving to help the Washington Pavilion make data-informed decisions, this employee understands the “story” behind the numbers and will create data architectures that integrate with existing IT infrastructure, identify trends and opportunities, and ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards. This position will be behind the success of every critical project the organization seeks to accomplish.

- Utilize Microsoft PowerBI to develop and document comprehensive data architectures, including data models, database designs, data integration strategies, and data warehousing solutions.
- Design, build, and automate solutions for business intelligence and reporting dashboards.
- Develop and deliver analysis and insights with actionable recommendations to improve business processes and drive strategic and tactical decisions.
- Write queries and procedures for database and reporting use.
- Work closely with a CRM System Specialist to produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, using clear and creative data presentation skills.
- Collaborate with company leadership and other stakeholders to ensure business needs are met as well as identify areas of opportunity with a focus on institutional health and enhanced customer experience.
- Understand business needs and translate them into detailed data requirements, including data sources, data types, and data usage patterns.
- Establish data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
- Lead internal data mining efforts by aggregating data from existing software systems to central data warehouse.
- Monitor and optimize data processing performance, including query optimization and data loading strategies.
- Create detailed technical documentation for data architecture, design decisions, data flows, and implementation plans.
- Ensure data solutions adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage and prioritize data requests and data-related projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Strong analytical skills to identify data trends, patterns, and potential issues.
- Proficient in designing logical and physical data models using various database technologies.
- Understand data warehouse concepts, data marts, and business intelligence tools.
- Expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate data into action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in presenting findings and strategic insights to a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Expert in Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Excel with proficiencies in other data analysis software.
- CRM software experience preferred.
- This position may occasionally require work outside regular business hours and on holidays and weekends.
What you need to have to be successful - Qualifications!
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science).
- 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Most work is performed in a typical office environment; the position will require extended use of a computer keyboard and monitor.
- Physical effort is low to moderate. Occasionally pack, lift, carry boxes of records to storage, or assist with office supplies up to 30lbs.
- This position requires the ability to move throughout the Washington Pavilion.
