Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping & Receiving personnel.
- Prepare schedule for Shipping and Receiving personnel.
- Prepare work orders for activities to be performed prior to and after rail switches.
- Prepare instructions for Rail Company regarding rail car placement at the facility.
- Oversee and schedule all activities performed by the Shipping and Receiving Department.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for shipping and receiving materials, including Bills of Lading, Receiving Report, etc.
- Maintain and record all documentation regarding shipping and receiving of material.
- Confirm all information on Shipping Orders prior to shipping material.
- Confirm or correct proper packaging and/or labeling of materials prior to shipping.
- Confirm that materials received are correct to the Purchase Order or Advanced Shipping Notice.
- Determine efficient and effective storage and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Performs other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, with at least 5 years of production background preferred. Working knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes. Working knowledge of computerized inventory system.
- Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including word-processing, graphics, and spreadsheets.
