Drum Line Lead

Job Summary:

Oversee all aspects of process operation in Dehydrated Potato Flake-Flour products, to ensure all products are produced in a Food Safe manner and follow specification guidelines in accordance with all Washington Potato Company rules and policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow Food Safety, Quality, Personal Safety, and any other Washington Potato Company’s Policy.
• Directly Lead all production on Dehydrated Flake – Flour process line from the shift.
• Ensure product meets specification and operation standard.
• Maintain close communication with finish operations and personnel and record all line changes and settings.
• Notify management of any production, safety, quality or environment concerns within the facility.
• Constantly monitor equipment operations to ensure equipment is being utilized efficiently.
• Manage daily activities to meet scheduled requirements.
• Minimize waste and maximize production efficiencies within these areas.
• Ensure all products are produced to Washington Potato Company quality standards.
• Create and maintain a teamwork environment within the production facility.
• Review and report to the Shift Supervisor any improvements and/or changes needed in the processing areas.
• Communicate with quality assurance, human resources, safety and maintenance to ensure product quality, timely production, with least cost to produce while meeting customer requirements in a food safe work environment.
• Satisfactorily meet attendance standards.
• Encourage open expression of ideas and opinions from all team members.
• Maintain good personal hygiene, follow GMP’s and maintain a clean, safe and sanitary workplace. Immediately report any situation that may cause product to be contaminated or compromised.
• Comply with plant security by ensuring that doors are locked and closed behind you. Report any suspicious activities to your Supervisor immediately. Enter only through the main employee entrance area or other controlled entrances.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Raw product content and conditions
• Volumes- processed/processing
• Processing parameters and ingredients
• Able to lift 50 lbs frequently during shift
• Must be able to work effectively and safely in a wet and hot/cold environment

Additional

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must be flexible in work tasks and schedules.
• Demonstrate excellent work habits and knowledge of responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.20 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
