This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and assisting with front office duties, as needed.Essential Position Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
• Prepare patient for various procedures and / or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
• Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
• Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
• Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
• Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
• Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled date to the patientQualifications
• Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Licensure and Certifications : Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR, required.
• Experience : Minimum of 2 years previous experience working as a LPN on an interdisciplinary team, preferred.Work Environment : This position will spend 80% of time standing and / or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and / or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.Qualifications
