Position Summary
The role of the Medical Records Tech reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining medical records and assisting with front office duties.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Receive and process correspondence including telephone calls, incoming and outgoing fax messages, and e-mails
- Prepare and distribute outgoing correspondence
- Partner with internal and external facilities to obtain medical records and fulfill outgoing medical record requests
- Receive and maintain incoming medical records
- Assist with front office duties, as needed
- Assist with ensuring cleanliness of office
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Previous experience in a clerical support role or medical office, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will require travel between Washington Regional campuses.
