The role of the Pricing Utilization Analyst reports to the Purchasing Supervisor. This position is responsible for a wide variety of data analysis of supplies. This position will spend 60% of the time sitting with occasional standing and walking of short distances up to 40% of the work time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review data to identify and support the hospitals goal to identify cost savings, standardize product lines and maintain quality
- Maintain a positive relationship with all areas of the organization
- Assist the Materials Value Analyst in identifying the Hospitals Group Purchasing contracts for possible access and product conversion by utilizing the Materials Management database and other available resources
- Ability to think critically to resolve problems
- Ensure work is carried out in a detail oriented manner
- Use Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office Suite products to report data
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in Purchasing or Warehouse management, required. Previous knowledge of medical terminology and supplies as demonstrated in a healthcare environment, preferred. Previous experience in medical buying or similar environment, preferred.
