Position Summary
The role of the RN - Clinical Instructor reports to the Training and Development Manager. This position is responsible for educating, organizing, executing, and maintaining relevant relationships with community partner and clinical students, specifically nursing. This position must be able to educate to and comply with the clinical policies and procedures of Washington Regional Medical Center. This position will spend 80% of the time walking and standing while instructing and 20% of the time sitting. This position will spend a majority of time twisting, pulling, lifting, bending, leaning, and squatting. This position must possess the knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of a registered nurse and must be able to perform the skills needed to execute proper training their scope of practice and Washington Regional educational programs.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between community, system, unit-based leadership, educators, and staff through effective communication
- Organize and execute hands-on clinical experiences for students within assigned programs
- Develop instructional outcomes and appropriate evaluation and assessment methods for student learning
- Assist the Education Business Development Specialist in developing new tools in which enhance student relations and clinical experiences
- Assist the Program Development Specialist in executing a Student Mentorship Program
- Assist in simulation curriculum and execution as directed by the Education Department
Qualifications
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas RN licensure and BLS, required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years acute healthcare experience in a variety of clinical areas, required.
Work Environment: This position will spend 60% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 40% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will be exposed to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
Qualifications
