Position Summary
The role of the Network Administrator III reports to the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager. This position is a senior-level position responsible for the overall management, design, and strategic planning of the healthcare system's network infrastructure. This role involves leading network projects, optimizing network performance, and ensuring robust network security. This position performs work under the direction the Technology Services management team.

Essential Position Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce network policies and procedures, in partnership with management team.
- Perform high-level troubleshooting and resolve critical network issues.
- Ensure network security through comprehensive security measures and regular audits.
- Optimize network performance and reliability.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to Network Administrator team.
- Manage network-related projects, including development, execution, and documentation.
- Stay up to date on the latest network technologies and trends.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support, as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience and relevant certifications.
- Licensure/Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, WCNA), preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, deploying, maintaining, managing, and troubleshooting networking solutions using Cisco networking products. Experience should be inclusive of the following: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless, and security technologies. Minimum of 5 years of experience performing fault isolation, identifying, and resolving critical network, server, and application issues in a large-scale computing environment. Must have extensive knowledge of network protocols, concepts, technologies and possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
