LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse
Washington Rehab and Nursing Center is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is committed to providing the very best and safest care to our patients / residents. This LPN will supervise the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, current federal, state, and local standards, to ensure the highest quality of care is always maintained. Direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care centerAssist in planning the nursing services portion of the residents’ discharge plans as requiredComplete accident / incident reports as necessaryChart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the residents, as well as the residents’ responses to the carePrepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and as required by center policyOrder prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary and in accordance with established policiesEnsure that narcotics are handled in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and as required by center policy and that narcotic records are accurate for your shiftMake daily rounds of your unit / shift to ensure that nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standardsNotify the residents’ attending physicians and next-of-kin when there is a change in the residents’ conditions or if the residents are involved in an incident or accidentAttend and participate in all center in-service programs as requiredLPN – Qualifications :
MUST hold a current and valid LPN license in the state employedLong term care / post-acute care setting preferredCompletion of postsecondary educationCapable of maintaining regular attendance (i.e., weekend shifts and overtime) as requiredJob Type : Full-time
