Washington Retina is an established retina-only medical practice. We have four board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons with over 10 years of combined experience serving the South Puget Sound community. The physicians have a strong reputation with patients and referring doctors for providing high quality compassionate and ethical retinal care for patients.
We anticipate rapid growth and are in search of Patient Service Representatives who are excited to be part of an organization at the start that will provide significant room for career growth potential in the future. As the outward-facing side of our practice and often the first point of contact for our patients and referrals, this role carries a high level of responsibility.
Full-time position are available. Must be able to travel to our Auburn, Renton and Tacoma offices.
Qualifications:
*Proficiency with computers and typing with particular experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
*At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced professional medical office setting or similar
*A strong ability to work well as part of a team
*A strong sense of pride in achieving goals as part of a team
*Willingness to learn
*Demonstrated professionalism at all times
*Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
*Demonstrated ability to multitask and maintain attention to a high level of detail, especially with regards to data entry and telephone calls
*Fluency in a language in addition to English would be very helpful
*Punctuality and Dependability are highly valued
Responsibilities:
*Initial point of contact for all patients both in-person and on the telephone
*Telephone coverage for patient appointment requests
*Answer basic questions for patients regarding medical insurance questions (Deductibles, Co-pay, etc) - Training will be provided
*Collect payment from patients
*Assist with ensuring proper appearance of patient waiting areas
*Basic medical record duties
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:

- Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
