Position Summary: Washington Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and assist with medical procedures. This role demands a commitment to patient well-being, a collaborative approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess patients’ health and treatment needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical protocols.
- Deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and a compassionate experience.
- Monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and provide care adjustments as necessary.
- Utilize ICD-9 coding to ensure accurate and complete patient documentation.
- Manage airway needs and provide respiratory support as required.
- Administer botulinum toxin treatment as part of specialized care protocols.
- Use Epic or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Provide specialized care for infants, addressing their unique health needs.
- Engage in hospice palliative medicine practices, providing support to patients with serious illnesses and their families.
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, following all safety guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Proven clinical experience, ideally in hospital medicine or critical care environments.
- Solid understanding of diagnostic evaluations and best practices in patient care.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is preferred but not required.
- Experience in airway management and botulinum toxin treatment protocols is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Epic or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is highly advantageous.
- Experience with infant care and hospice palliative medicine is a plus.
- Strong ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
