Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Job Duties & Requirements : Hiring new nurses and overseeing the onboarding process by training them or assigning them to a trainer Creating schedules to ensure that departments have adequate nursing coverage for every shift Coaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issues Monitoring expenses to ensure that the facility operates within budgetary constraints Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status Conducting employee evaluations that identify nurses’ strengths and areas of improvement Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nurses Checking patient records to ensure that they are accurate and up to date Additional duties & requirements as instructed by job description, Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and / or Regional Operators.
