What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dean of Technology and Transfer position at Washington State Community College?
Purpose:
The Dean of Technology and Transfer will serve as a dynamic innovator and change agent. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Technology and Transfer will lead the areas of Liberal Arts transfer and General Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Business and Public Services as the strategic and operational champion to enhance student success by managing, developing, and implementing academic programming; leading a team of faculty and staff; and developing strategies to promote student enrollment, retention, and completion in accordance with the College’s vision, mission, and values in the pursuit of excellence.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
- Minimum of a Master’s degree or higher in Higher Education Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, a field within the area to be supervised, or a related degree. The degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supervision, leadership, or administration.
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Evidence of continual professional development in the field of concentration.
