Some Of What You'll Do
- Determine progressive physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and caregivers; partner with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists and others regarding individual treatment plans
- Assess patients, plan and implement treatment programs which may include the use of physical agents, manual therapy, gait and balance training and therapeutic exercise
- Assess patients need for adaptive equipment and train staff in the proper use of the equipment
- Instruct and train other team members, and encourage and assist patients in performing physical activities
- Assist in providing direction and coordination of the physical therapy program
- Provide clinical physical therapy leadership and direction to staff and interdisciplinary team
- Strength in conveying instruction and education behind the why
- A creative approach to support our patients
- A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Washington
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a preference for those who have experience in psychiatric or behavioral health environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- At least five years of experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally with experience in both geriatric and psychiatric settings is preferred
