The Information Technology Division (ITD) exists to leverage technology to enhance and sustain business processes, public safety infrastructure, and statewide emergency communications to facilitate the accomplishment of all agency goals.

Duties

This position supports criminal history (WASIS) and crime information (WACIC) related systems and applications to provide critical data to law enforcement, criminal justice agencies, and public audiences. The criminal justice information supported by the W3 team provides crucial information for both officer and public safety concerns. The WAJIS systems and applications supported by this position include all WATCH systems, the OWSOR (Offender Watch Interface) system, the PIIES online portal, the ABIS system, the AOC EDispo interface, and coordination with the ACCESS support team for WACIC related interfaces including OMNIXX and the State Switch.

Our new teammate will be able to:

• Responsible for daily monitoring of the system, following the monitoring guides.
• Responsible for ensuring daily extraction processes were successful.
• Responsible for following guides to resend any errored fingerprint transactions.
• Report any system issues found to a senior employee, and learn about the resolution – guided by the senior employee(s).
• Code, debug, and verify low level SQL code in existing reports to meet changing business needs.
• Code, debug, and verify low level SQL queries to provide data extracts to support system maintenance.
• Use routine queries to monitor the system.
• Use routine queries to perform data extracts.
• Maintain SQL files uploaded to the GIT for up-to-date versioning and report GIT conflicts for resolution.
• Perform tasks in relation to requirements gathering, support, and communication under the direction of senior System Administrators.
• Assist in testing new implementations installed by the vendor and Infrastructure Operations teams for issues In coordination with Business Analysts.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders accompanied by a senior System Administrators to better understand the connections and effect of changes on the system.
• Follow routine procedures for system change notifications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience in application support or systems management in an enterprise environment may substitute year for year for education.
