What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Tutor position at Washington State University GEAR UP?
Our GEAR UP program seeks knowledgeable and experienced tutors in all subject areas, especially in Math and Language Arts. They will provide services including but not limited to; individual tutoring, academic advising, and mentoring at Finley School District. With the direction of the site manager, they will provide and coordinate activities on a variety of educational topics including; career planning, Google Classroom interaction, attend field trips to post-secondary institutions and to educational and cultural events, service-learning activities, etc. We will have trips/events periodically which may require some evenings and weekends. You will be working at Finley Middle School in Kennewick, WA. Must be available during school hours, between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, work will be in-person. Computer knowledge and skills are required, experience with Google Docs/Drive and Office 365 preferred. This is a PART-TIME position.
