Recruit & Empower Student Advocates
Work with WA-SEN Advisors to recruit and support a diverse team of student leaders, especially undergraduates. Train and supervise liaisons and volunteers, and lead both virtual and in-person advocacy efforts.
Build Campus Networks
Organize student groups, collaborate with clubs and student governments, and help spread the word about WA-SEN through events, class announcements, and posters.
Lead Advocacy Efforts
Engage legislators on higher ed and financial aid issues. Represent WA-SEN at town halls, lead outreach initiatives, and get coaching to grow your advocacy skills.
Host & Support Events
Table at events, organize on-campus activities, and help coordinate WA-SEN’s signature events like Constitution Day, the Fall Summit, and Student Engagement Day in Olympia.

Qualifications
- Strong commitment to the mission and vision of WA-SEN.
- Enthusiasm about helping students attend college and complete a degree regardless of financial circumstance.
- Ability to recruit and work with diverse students (age, veterans, race/ethnicity, etc.).
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Access to transportation for campus and legislative visits.
- Washington College Grant or federal Pell Grant recipient a plus, but not required.
- Washington State Work Study eligible students encouraged to apply.
