Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Escrow Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the escrow process from initiation to closing, ensuring compliance with all regulations and providing exceptional service to clients. This role requires a strong understanding of financial services, including mortgage servicing and underwriting, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
Duties
- Manage the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring all documents are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Review and analyze loan documents, including TILA disclosures, to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct credit analysis and verify financial information as part of the escrow process.
- Prepare settlement statements and ensure all funds are properly disbursed at closing.
- Maintain detailed records of transactions and communicate updates to all parties involved.
- Provide guidance on escrow-related questions and resolve any issues that arise during the transaction process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in escrow services.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of escrow processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with TILA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in credit analysis, loan origination, or mortgage servicing is preferred.
- Proficient in 10 key typing for accurate data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in financial services or banking is a plus.
