- Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certification or Eligibility
- Proficiency in the use of a computer system and software appropriate for Accounting, database, spreadsheet, and payroll and district-wide staff development program for business office software applications.
- Knowledge of/experience in budgeting, insurance, policies, regulations, and grant development, budget reports, forecasts, and financial analysis
- Administer cash receipts functions and documentation through the supervision of the district bookkeeper.
- Oversee procurement processes, including vendor selection, bidding, and contract negotiations.
- Assist in identifying, applying for, and managing grants and other sources of funding to support educational programs and initiatives.
- Informed about local, state, and federal regulations affecting school district finances and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with educational goals.
- Responsible for the maintenance and storage of required documents of the Board of Education as set forth by the NJDOE Retention Record Guidelines.
- Knowledge of accurate processing of payroll and the posting of the payroll data
- Preparation and submission of required financial reports and documents to relevant authorities.
- Work closely with the Business Administrator and other departments to support the overall administrative functions of the school district.
- Administer the daily operations of the business office.
- Responsible for providing backup personnel in the absence of accounts payable, payroll, and data processing staff.
