Items Processor (Part-time 20 hours per week)
The Washington Trust Company is seeking a detail-oriented individual to support our Items Processing team located in Westerly, RI. This position is responsible for accurate review of the capture of daily proof work, locating any errors, making appropriate adjustments or corrections. Duties include but are not limited to: Amount item entry, batch total balancing, customer adjustments and creating daily cash letters.
This position supports a hybrid on-site/remote work schedule
Essential Responsibilities:
Process incoming and outgoing cash letters to/from Federal Reserve Bank
Perform amount entry, data entry/reject correction, and transaction balancing for all deposit capture channels
Accurately locate and correct out-of-balance transactions, applying appropriate procedural resolutions
Print and mail adjustment notices with appropriate supporting documentation
Other duties as assigned
Requirements, Skills or Competencies:
Must have speed and accuracy with keyboard number pad (10- Key)
Must be able to navigate within files and folders on the computer
Proficient Word and Excel skills
Excellent problem solving and balancing skills (debits and credits)
Ability to work independently and accurately meet daily deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well with people and have a team player attitude
Work Hours/Schedule
Monday-Friday: 2:30 – 6:30 pm (20 hours per week)
