The Student Support Specialist at Washington Union School District is a key member of the educational team, dedicated to fostering the social, emotional, and academic well-being of our students. This role involves providing direct support to students, collaborating with teachers and parents, and implementing school-wide initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive school culture. The Student Support Specialist will have a strong focus on social emotional learning (SEL) and development. Washington Union serves approximately 750 students and is located off of Highway 68 between Salinas and Monterey. In partnership with Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE), Washington Union also offers a New Teacher Induction Program with a state approved Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential.
