The Executive Director for Operations, Danforth Campus Schools is responsible for facilitating the administration of the duties and executing strategic priorities for the Associate Vice Chancellor, Danforth Campus Schools within the Philanthropic Strategy team. The position will work closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor, members of the senior leadership team, and staff throughout University Advancement to advance departmental priorities, implement new initiatives, and optimize workflow and efficiency.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Facilitate the administration of the Associate Vice Chancellor’s duties and execute strategic priorities.
- Serve as a thought partner and strategist to the Associate Vice Chancellor about the evolution of areas under the Associate Vice Chancellor’s oversight.
- Work closely with the AVC to manage the AVC’s personal fundraising responsibilities related to caseload activity, donor strategy, and communications.
- Prioritize and organize the AVC’s management responsibilities for the units that report to the AVC.
- Manage the AVC’s responsibilities as a senior leader of University Advancement, including meeting preparation, operations, and strategy.
- Provide leadership on strategic priorities and projects for areas under the AVC’s purview, as assigned.
- Represent the AVC in key meetings and oversee the execution of action items.
Serve as the liaison between the Associate Vice Chancellor and staff to improve workflow, secure answers, and approvals in a timely manner, and ensure fulfillment on projects for which the AVC is integral. Provide leadership in enhancing communication and facilitating resolutions surrounding departmental issues and concerns.
Engage with projects of strategic importance to University Advancement and Washington University.
Perform other duties as assigned by the AVC.
