The Multimedia Production Manager (MPM) collaborates with faculty and other clients to design and produce engaging and impactful media primarily in the form of motion graphics and interactive animations that adhere to best graphics and educational media practices. In partnership with the Director and through proactive engagement in the field, the MPM oversees the strategic direction of the multimedia team to ensure the CDE is staying on top of current innovations and evolutions in the field. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Graphic Design
- Design and create impact visual designs for both web and videos. This may include graphics for both the LMS, CDE branding materials, converting PowerPoint decks to a CDE template, infographics, charts, and graphics for use in course videos, and special projects.
Motion Graphics/Animations
- Create dynamic motion graphics for videos which might include the visualization of concepts, complex charts and data, illustrative animations, title sequences, whiteboard-style animations, lower-thirds, transitions, typographic animations, or other ways to tell digital stories using motion graphics.
Multimedia Production
- Produce multimedia using camera footage, music editing, text-on-screen motion graphics, green screen backgrounds, and 2D animations.
Project Management
- Managing media projects and other priorities simultaneously, expertly keeping track of tasks, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- Communicate updates through project management platforms.
Team Management
- Management of direct reports, team building, project management and accountability, coaching/mentoring, and professional development of multimedia production team.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Graphic Design.
- Strong knowledge of graphic design production including, among other things, typography, composition and layout, color theory, photography and digital storytelling.
- Creative thinking with the ability to execute ideas, as well as a deep understanding of visual communication.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience doing 2D motion graphics and animations.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative team environment as a positive and engaged professional.
- Virtual environment and object creation using Blender or Unreal Engine or Maya or Cinema 4D.
- Extensive video and audio editing.
- Still photography and photo editing.
- Non-Linear Editors: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve
- Animation and VFX: After Effects
- Design: Illustrator, Photoshop
- Sound Editing: Logic Pro, Adobe Audition
