Position Summary

PRN position provides basic blood drawing procedures or experienced skill in capillary and venipuncture blood collection on patients at outreach events on our community van under direct or moderate supervision.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Draws blood on patients within Children’s and Barnes Hospitals by venipuncture or capillary sticks.

• Applies sweat tests at supervisor’s discretion.

• Transport specimens.

• Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or Phlebotomy coordinator.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

Salary Range

$16.23 - $21.88 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
