Position Summary

Supports innovative research initiatives aimed at improving population health through a comprehensive understanding of the social and economic forces that shape health outcomes. Assists in managing complex research projects focused on global health issues, coordinating research activities, engaging with global stakeholders, and contributing to data collection and analysis that informs public health policies and practice at both local and international levels. This role may require travel to relevant global locations.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Data Collection, Analysis and Management

  • Develop relevant data collection tools for multiple research projects.
  • Ensure adequate and secure storage, organization and accessibility of data.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis as required.

Literature Review and Synthesis

  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings to identify best practices, stay informed about emerging trends in population health and orient future research directions.

Research Project Management

  • Manage day-to-day aspects of research projects focused on population health and facilitate adequate communication with relevant stakeholders.

Dissemination of Findings

  • Produce manuscripts and contribute to publications, presentations and reports to communicate research findings to a variety of audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, including local, national and global policymakers, as well as international, multilateral and community organizations, to gather insights that inform research objectives and outcomes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • In-person at Washington University campus.
  • Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations, including domestic and international locations.

Salary Range

$48,000.00 - $86,900.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
