As our student community continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Academic Success Coordinator to join our team. This individual will play a key role in shaping the vision of the Center for Student Success (CSS) and managing a wide range of initiatives to enhance student academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
The Academic Success Coordinator will serve as a pivotal support figure in fostering student success. Primary responsibilities include overseeing academic support initiatives, managing student engagement and participation tracking, and leading the peer tutoring program at the Writing Lab.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Writing Lab, including tutor training and coordination.
- Identify at-risk students and implement proactive support outreach.
- Track student participation and attendance, ensuring compliance with attendance policies.
- Plan and execute four academic success events and webinars per quarter.
- Maintain and update student success tracking databases.
- Provide guidance and advising on academic resources, including the Canvas LMS platform.
- Support various CSS initiatives and special projects as needed.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (required).
- Experience:
- At least 1 year of professional or volunteer experience with transferable skills (preferred).
- 2 years of general work experience (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong academic and professional writing skills (required).
- Exceptional attention to detail (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Forms, Sheets, Calendar).
- Creative and innovative mindset; graphic design skills & Canva proficiency are a plus.
- Strong adaptability, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Familiarity with APA Style for academic writing.
