What You’ll Do
The Manufacturing Production Operator/Screen Inventory Specialist will work directly with, and report to, the Production Foreperson and Operations Manager. This position is responsible for inventorying, maintaining, repairing, rebuilding, and reordering various screens in an abrasives manufacturing plant to ensure a safe and effective production environment.
Screening machines include, but are not limited to, large metal frame rectangular screens, wood frame rectangular screens, circular metal frame screens of various sizes. This position is a 2nd shift position: Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:00am and can include Fridays to coincide with production needs.
Responsible for the overall screen inventory of all types. Includes keeping stock of raw materials including frames, and screen materials
Building and repairing screens so they are available to support Production. Building a computer based inventory of the screens and their storage locations. Building a computer based inventory of the raw materials needed to build and repair screens. Proficient with hand tools to make the screens
Assist with the installation of all screens on the various types of machines. Includes some working at heights
Submitting order requests for replacement inventory needs
Other Production duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this position, you must:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing plant or military equivalent
Operation of various tools including and not limited to drills, saws, hand tools, cutting tools
Experience with inventory management
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, walk, stand, bend, climb while working inside and outside sometimes in tight quarters or elevated conditions
Safety shoes are required ($100 annual reimbursement provided
Have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Licensing in any trade/maintenance area is a plus
