What You’ll Do
The Project and Reliability Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for leading and coordinating projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects meet budget, timeline, and quality standards. This position will be responsible for providing project and reliability engineering services to the Hennepin Plant including designing, installing, and maintaining plant equipment ensuring they operate safely, reliability, and efficiently. The Project and Reliability Engineer does not have any direct reports but will work closely with the engineering team to achieve the plant’s production objectives.
Responsible for project scope identification, justification, prioritization, and budgeting
Develops detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation
Administers project details ensuring all relevant drawings, specifications, equipment manuals, etc. are obtained and correctly filed for future access
Manages and helps further develop the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Identifies and manages risks associated with equipment and processes to prevent failures and downtime
Uses tools like Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and criticality analysis to identify and address potential issues
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this position, you must:
Possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 5 or more years of experience within a heavy engineering manufacturing environment
Have the ability to conduct typical plant mechanical engineering design and develop technical specifications
Have working knowledge of EHS Policies and Procedures and documentation management
Show strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong leadership and organizational skills
