Additionally, you will reinforce and clarify instruction provided by the teacher through interpretation and translation. Proficiency in both Spanish and English is essential.

The work environment for a Paraeducator Aide I Bilingual typically involves working in a classroom setting, assisting teachers and students. This role requires frequent interaction with students, parents, and staff. The physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional lifting and carrying of educational materials and equipment. The position may also involve bending, reaching, and using audio-visual equipment. Additionally, the Paraeducator Aide I Bilingual must be able to maintain student discipline and order in various school areas, such as playgrounds, lunchrooms, and hallways, which may require quick and responsive actions to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.

Benefit packages are available for all employees, eligible employees who are regularly scheduled to work 27.5 hours per week or more receive full benefits of the District which include but are not limited to;
New employees will be fingerprinted upon hire and every five years thereafter and will have $58.50 deducted from their first paycheck to help defray the cost of fingerprinting. Non-licensed employees will have $58.50 deduction when their fingerprints are completed every five years. Fingerprint fees are subject to change.

- Assist parents with school paperwork and translate school notifications and announcements.
- Help parents learn basic English and technology through computer programs.
- Support students in learning basic language skills, transitioning from Spanish to English.
- Perform clerical duties as assigned.
- Assist in small group instruction or work with students one-on-one in a classroom setting.
- Support second language learners in the classroom with academic instructional support and involve families in the transition to school experiences.
