What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Internship - Construction & Design position at Washtenaw County Road Commission?
Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) is seeking students for an internship with the Construction & Design section of our Engineering department for the summer of 2025. An intern will work under the direct supervision of a licensed professional engineer. The intern can expect to gain experience working in a transportation construction environment and will be exposed to a variety of construction management and inspection duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
An intern in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties : (These examples do not include all of the duties which the intern may be expected to perform.
- Assist in the support of construction staff and construction projects.
- Assist with project documentation and monitoring.
- Monitor contractor duties and operations.
- Work closely with management to ensure continuous communication, develop better work efficiency and oversee the constriction process for construction projects.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
The work schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. Overtime work and weekend work may be required.
Salary : $18
