The primary responsibility of a cashier at Wasson is to deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with company standards, drive sales, maintain a clean and organized environment, operate the point-of-sale system, and ensure loss prevention by adhering to all company policies and store standards.
Customer Service
- Greet all customers and offer assistance
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions
- Learn and utilize all processes as per company standards
- Assist customers with locating/suggesting products
- Create a welcoming environment for Wasson Nursery customers
Store Duties
- Make sure inventory is in stock and properly displayed
- Assist in receiving inventory of Greenhouse and Garden Center material
- Learn basic houseplant information to the point of being able to direct customers
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and other tasks as assigned by management
- Keeping in-stock product clean, maintained, and retail ready
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Available to work weekends and holidays during "busy" season
