Job Description: In this role, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment components. You will also conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Diagnoses and repairs complex problems with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other equipment components.
- Uses specialized equipment, such as pressure testers and leak-down machines, to diagnose and repair leaks and other issues.
- Collaborates with other technicians to complete large-scale repairs, such as engine overhauls and transmission replacements.
- Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Participates in safety training programs and adheres to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience in diesel mechanic repair; ASE certifications preferred but not required; must provide own personal tools.
