Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lube Technician/Entry Level Mechanic to join our team at the Heart of Florida Landfill, a Waste Connections site in Sumter County. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment machines.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular safety checks on vehicles and equipment to prevent accidents and downtime. Perform routine maintenance tasks as required, including inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. Maintain a clean and safe work environment that meets corporate and OSHA standards. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
1 year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel technology program. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
