Pay And Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with workdays starting between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, and shifts typically lasting 9 to 11 hours. Applicants must be willing to work overtime as needed
- Starting pays $25.00 – $26.00 per hour
- Safely operate a Grizzly excavator, skid steer, yard goat for hosteling trailers, and forklift
- Assist in unloading and loading materials
- Perform regular equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and maintenance
- Manage traffic flow, directing vehicles in a safe and orderly manner
- Perform general site maintenance, including cleaning up debris, ensuring the area is safe and organized
- Maintain and repair minor equipment issues as needed
- Monitor the transfer station area for potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and support daily operations
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage, site conditions, and any incidents or issues
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with truck drivers and other staff
- Prior heavy equipment experience
- Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with a team
- Must be able to communicate in English for safety purposes; Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
- Must be able to work in environments with dust, loud noises, odors, and other conditions commonly found at a transfer station
