Job Overview: As a 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment. You will work closely with other technicians to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Diagnoses and repairs complex problems with diesel engines, such as faulty fuel injectors and cylinder head issues.
- Utilizes specialized equipment, such as pressure testers and leak-down machines, to diagnose and repair leaks and other issues.
- Collaborates with other technicians to complete large-scale repairs, such as engine overhauls and transmission replacements.
- Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Participates in safety training programs and adheres to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years' experience in diesel mechanic repair; proficiency in using specialized equipment; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
