Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections. The ideal candidate will have experience in preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems.
About the Role
This is a Monday - Thursday working 12:00 PM – 10:00pm, Friday 11:00am - 8:00pm and one Saturday 8:00am - 1:00pm per month position. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services, as well as conducting safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services, including DOT inspections and repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform service calls as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred or the ability to obtain in the future.
- Must provide own personal tools.
