Heavy Equipment Mechanic Position
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Yellow Iron Mechanic to join our team at our St Cloud, FL location.
Pay: $30 /hr DOE
Job Summary:
- Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services on heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with operating bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers is desired.
- Ability to efficiently operate yellow iron equipment such as compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull objects over 50 pounds due to extensive physical activity required for the job.
Working Conditions:
- Work environment involves exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring basic safety precautions.
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance is essential.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience directly related to the job duties, including diesel and yellow iron experience.
- CDL is preferred but not required at time of hire.
