Landfill Gas and Liquids Technician

Chiquita Canyon Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Landfill Gas & Liquids Technician to join the team in Castaic, CA!

The schedule will be Monday-Friday. Weekend work and overtime is often required. Shift is 7am-4 : 30 or 5pm.

The pay range for this position is $32-34 / hour, depending on experience. We also offer great family benefits, a 401k match and paid time off.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Clean and repair leachate or water pump by lifting and lowering 100 foot long cables
• Assembling new parts on existing pumps
• Checking, monitoring and cleaning gas wells
• Reading and keeping track of gas well data
• Operating small pieces of equipment such as backhoe
• Working with team and contract employees
• Working outside in all weather conditions.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
