WasteConnections is looking for a full time Scale House Clerk / Customer Service Representative to join our GROWING team in Maryland Heights, MO.
In this position, you will be weighing trucks in and out of the facility and interacting with the public. You must have excellentcustomer serviceand good computer skills.
Pay :
25-27 / hourly
This position is open to Waste Connections Benefits program including Health, Dental, Vision and 401k retirement savings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Greet and direct all customers and contractors upon entry to the landfill.
Weigh trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
Track weight information from scale tocomputer systemand get appropriate signatures.
Ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
Answer phone in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.
Perform full clerical and general office duties.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Assist with office duties,filingand paperwork as needed.
Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Generate regular reports summarizing transaction data, weights, and other relevant information.
Provide reports to management as required.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Proficiency in basiccomputer applicationsfordata entryand record-keeping.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge ofwaste managementor transportation industry practices is a plus.
Must be reliable and punctual.
