What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Management Flagger position at Waste Connections?
Responsibilities Include:
This is a safety-sensitive position
Spotting and helping to direct customers and work trucks to appropriate dump sites.
Traffic management - moving signs and cones
Cleaning equipment - sweeping/power washing
General site cleanup as needed
Friendly customer service
Requirements:
At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position.
The ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Experience operating equipment is a plus
Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Exposed to different weather year round.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 to 75 pounds.
Ability to operate heavy equipment, skid steer and forklift safety.
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
