Les' Sanitary, is seeking a Transfer Station Laborer in Coos Bay, OR!
Schedule: Tues-Sat, 7:00am-5:00pm, 40-50 hours per week.

Drug and alcohol testing: Subject to pre-employment drug testing and random selection drug and alcohol testing per Company policy.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements.
- Pressure washing carts and garbage trucks
- Site cleanup/ litter pick-up
- Helping and interacting with customers
- Customer Service
- Covering Scale house as needed for breaks or callouts
- Taking payments
- Manual labor including landscaping/ weed eating
- Greet and direct customers upon entry to transfer station
- Calculate payments for customers
- Input weight information into system for customer payments
- Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
- Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Various other utility tasks as needed
- Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
- At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
- Experience operating equipment is a plus
- Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
- Mechanical ability a plus.
- The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Exposed to different weather year round.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
