What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waste Connections Diesel Mechanic position at Waste Connections?
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Angleton, Texas.
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and that our equipment is in top working condition.
- You will inspect and diagnose problems with diesel engines, chassis, and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels, and tires.
- Utilizing vehicle computer electronics systems, you will interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs as needed.
- Knowledge of hydraulics repair is required, and experience with welding and fabrication is highly desirable.
In addition to your technical skills, excellent communication abilities and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics and hold ASE certifications (preferably). Must provide own personal tools.
