About the Job
We are currently looking for a Waste Management Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Waste Connections in North Austin, Texas. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to ensure our vehicles remain in good working condition.
- Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular safety checks to ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards, and identify potential hazards to prevent accidents.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and other tasks related to vehicle upkeep.
- Paperwork and Record-Keeping: Accurately complete paperwork and maintain records related to vehicle maintenance, repairs, and other activities.
