Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Technician to join our team at Heart of Florida Landfill. As a Waste Management Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment machines.
The ideal candidate will possess 1 year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program. Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs maintenance related work as required.
- Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
