POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Procurement Clerk
Department: Procurement
Reports To: Procurement Agent
Location: Andrews, TX Worksite Facility
Summary
The procurement clerk is responsible for supporting the procurement team by handling purchasing transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may receive occupational exposures to ionizing radiation that are As Low As is Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and within regulatory limits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of orders and vendors.
- Input purchasing data into the accounting system and ensure all information is current and accurate.
- Generate reports on purchasing activities for management review.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procurement procedures.
- Address issues related to order fulfillment, such as delays or quality concerns, and escalating as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree in Business or related discipline from an accredited college or university preferred; and a minimum of (2) years related experience as a purchasing clerk; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order Processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
