Area Manager Duties
Work Schedule:
- Regular hours, Mon – Fri (7-4:30) and as needed during other high demand times, including weekends.
- Major holidays, Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year are paid holidays. Other unpaid holidays may include additional surrounding days depending on where they fall on the calendar, our current workload and whether the service facilities will be open or not.
Job Duties:
- Lead our local team
- Manage outside salespeople
- Manage driver daily efforts, schedules and route efficiencies.
- Track employee daily time/minimize OT.
- Monitor pace, quality and efficiency of work
- Coordinate loads to the proper facilities offering the best rates and value.
- Handle incoming communications via phone, text or email. Must be an effective communicator.
- Cultivate relationships with customers
- Create billing, process and collect from non-credit customers at point of sale and maintain contact and collection efforts on slow pay credit accounts to assist accounting.
Promote Company Image:
- Promote safety first culture and require proper care of equipment
- Conduct driver safety meetings
- Require and monitor daily/weekly maintenance
- Monitor maintenance reports for each vehicle and prevent problems.
- Maintain PM service at required intervals
Communicate effectively with management
- Potential leads and opportunities
- Equipment and employee issues if necessary
Intangibles:
- Know and understand your monthly budget
- Know your numbers: sales, labor costs, OT, dump costs, fuel costs and other fixed costs. Learn the weak points and improve them
- Know the competition.
- Establish a plan for growth and work daily to meet and exceed targets.
- Find ways to save money, increase margins and profits.
- Candidates having CDL experience will be preferred

Compensation Range: $72000.00 - $87,000.00
· Minimum monthly sales targets MUST be met, company location must retain profitability
· Base salary increases will result from consistency, growth and profitability.
· Exceeding sales targets will result in annual bonus compensation.
· Waste Haul, LLC will require 1 Yr Non-Compete Agreement for employment
