About the Job
As the Diesel Maintenance Supervisor, you will take on an essential leadership role overseeing a team of technicians. You'll ensure efficient workflow and assign tasks effectively, managing a team of 12 technicians in our maintenance shop. This position involves evening shifts starting at 3 : 00 PM from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.
What You'll Be Doing
To excel in this role, you should be able to handle the following key responsibilities :
- Supervise daily operations within the maintenance shop, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities and repairs, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Review driver repair requests and prepare work order documentation.
- Perform hands-on mechanical duties as required.
- Monitor inventory of replacement parts and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Lead and develop personnel through coaching, training, and performance evaluations, while also managing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Interpret and enforce organizational policies as well as safety regulations consistently.
- Generate and submit necessary reports to track shop performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role includes managing a team of 12 non-supervisory employees, including mechanics and technicians.
