Preferred Education and Experience : Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Experience as a manager or supervisor. Experience with wastewater treatment and collection systems. Candidates with experience in pulp and paper, chemical manufacturing, or any other manufacturing process involving water pretreatment will also be considered.
I. Job Summary
Manage and supervise the operations of a wastewater treatment facility while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To excel in this position, the individual must successfully complete each essential duty. Additional minor duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Lead personnel and daily operations of the Wastewater Treatment Facility and collection system to ensure optimal disposal flow. The facility includes physical, chemical, and biological treatment of landfill leachate using Membrane Bioreactor and Reverse Osmosis technologies.
- Review and assess work to guarantee quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Handle purchasing duties, including procuring supplies, maintaining purchase order logs, and reviewing transactions for the treatment facility.
- Compile and analyze data, conducting necessary tests and monitoring results while preparing relevant reports.
- Act as the key liaison between the facility, vendors, contractors, management, security, and other involved parties.
- Implement strong safety protocols to ensure compliance with Company policies, OSHA, and relevant regulations.
- Manage department personnel needs including coaching, training, and performance evaluations, while providing input on termination, compensation, and promotion matters.
